Podalong's mobile app now stores images as well as podcast and episode info, which means when you're offline you can still look around and access your playlists and downloaded episodes.
Speaking of downloaded episodes, Podalong now supports downloading individual episodes as well as a per podcast setting that will automatically keep the latest 1-5 episodes always downloaded. This means you can now enjoy your podcasts without using mobile data, or even when you're offline.
Downloads are configurable, you can access the settings by going to Settings -> Download Settings or through the Downloads playlist. The major settings we offer are downloading when on WiFi only or Cellular/WiFi, as well as setting storage limits for episodes.
We've implemented a simple continuous play that can be toggled from settings. Right now we'll automatically play the next episode after you've finished one if you started playing from a playlist, like Up Next, Downloads, History, or even a custom playlist you've created. We're currently experimenting with continuous play from other sources, but we aren't sure if that's necessary. Send us an email if you have any suggestions.
All of these new features are currently live on the App Store and Google Play Store.
As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear them: firstname.lastname@example.org
